Literary Jukebox- 1984

Inspired by Maria Popova's Literary Jukebox project on www.brainpickings.org, students matched favorite quotes from the novel 1984 by George Orwell, and matched them with songs to demonstrate Tone and Theme. They then used the site www.canva.com to design a poster that incorporated the quote, the song, and a visual representation of the tone and theme. They added QR codes linked to the song online so that passersby in the hall could check out their pairings. It was a fun way to test their analytical skills and to get to know them better!
